Plastic Free July - Day 03: Bar Soap

Switch back to bar soap, now!

Remember when we were kids and that’s basically all we had? Then all these super cool and fancy body washes were everywhere and I quickly became this person who thought bar soap was gross.

Cut to many moons later and I’m all about that bar soap. It usually comes without any plastic packaging (some companies use paper wrapping, others, like Whole Foods, many makers at farmers markets, and LUSH (in store) sell it completely naked. If you look, you are bound to find naked bar soap abound in a variety of scents, colors, and shapes. Now you just need a nice place to store it in your shower and on your countertop, so I’m showing a few options below -also, I love this minimal rubber coated one.

RE: LUSH - I absolutely love them, they are mostly plastic free - especially their bath bombs. If you want to get super deep into how good it is for you and the planet, read this post by Leotie Lovely, and just read all of her stuff while you are at it.

Like so many things plastic free, you are saving the planet and most likely saving yourself a ton of moolah! Win Win.
