taryn Bone, principal, assoc. AIA

Taryn is originally from Missouri, a small area that is not the Mid-West and not quite the South, but very much the Heartland of America.  An  army veteran, having served in Iraq in 2005 and Kuwait in 2008-2009, she brings worldly experience to the practice.  Taryn completed her BS in Architectural Studies/Interior Design at The University of Missouri in 2009 before moving to Los Angeles where she worked for 2 years in high end hospitality design. During this time she worked on many world renowned hotels, spas, and clubhouses.  In 2011 she returned to school at The Southern California Institute of Architecture where she earned her M.Arch, graduated with distinction, and received the SCI-Arc Service Award. While at SCI-Arc, Taryn worked for Belzberg Architects, TA'd many classes, including Graduate Thesis, and was the Research Assistant on the Getty show "A Confederacy of Heretics" which was part of the "Pacific Standard Time Presents: Modern Architecture in LA." Immediately upon graduation she began working as an associate at Johnston Marklee where she would go on to design and manage a full interior and exterior remodel of a house in Marina Del Rey, a bookstore in the Arts District, oversee the drawings and construction of a Flagship Retail Store on Melrose Place, and design the Moholy-Nagy: Future Present exhibition at LACMA. Taryn brings the love of both architecture and interior design to BC Studio, enjoying every aspect of what makes a space.
