taryn Bone, principal, assoc. AIA
Taryn is originally from Missouri, a small area that is not the Mid-West and not quite the South, but very much the Heartland of America. An army veteran, having served in Iraq in 2005 and Kuwait in 2008-2009, she brings worldly experience to the practice. Taryn completed her BS in Architectural Studies/Interior Design at The University of Missouri before moving to Los Angeles where she worked for a few high end hospitality design firms, including Wilson Associates. During this time she worked on many world renowned hotels, spas, and clubhouses. She returned to school at The Southern California Institute of Architecture where she earned her M.Arch, graduated with distinction, and received the SCI-Arc Service Award. While at SCI-Arc, Taryn worked for Belzberg Architects, was a Teaching Assistant for many classes, including Graduate Thesis, and was the Research Assistant on the Getty show "A Confederacy of Heretics" which was part of the "Pacific Standard Time Presents: Modern Architecture in LA." Immediately upon graduation she began working as an associate at Johnston Marklee where she would go on to design and manage a multitude of projects, giving her the experience necessary to begin her own journey of Bone Collective Studio. Taryn brings the love of both architecture and interior design to BC Studio, enjoying every aspect of creating incredible spaces.
